Women's day celebration 🫶🏽

On the occasion of International Women's Day, Divine Foundation had organised a celebration cum awareness event at the Community Centre near YMCA, Borivali on the 11th of March 2023 at 6:00 pm. Around 120 Women and young children were attended the event.

The celebration started with fun games, a small gift (Keychain) were given to the winners. All the ladies enjoyed the games. Songs and dancing elevated the joy of the celebration.

After the games, Chief Guest Advocate Manjula Biswas, gave a talk on how to deal with violence and abuse against women in public and private scenario. She also explained various rules and regulations about how the police works for women and children. She ended her talk by addressing these issues and giving the women helpline number which is 103. Overall her talk was something that gave a lot of information in simple and easy to understand language.


After this informative session, another session by the district coordinator of Nasha mukti kendra- Disha Kalembe, took place on substance abuse and the solutions for it. Her talk included various aspects such as why does addiction takes place at the first place, how to avoid being an addict, how to help someone who is addicted, how to approach for help and how to treat a person who is going through the healing process. The talk also included various measures that our government has taken to help reduce the abuse of substances.



After these talks, the dj played songs for the ladies to enjoy and dance and this ended the event on a happy and high note. But before leaving, all of the ladies were given a food packet of biryani and a hand napkins as a token of love.


This event was a grand success and all of the ladies enjoyed and gained a lot of knowledge and the celebration of Womens day was done right.
